So you’ll want to tune in tonight at 7PM pacific to Ustream.com, to watch the dudes record a new episode of the Mega64 Podcast. We’re gonna talk about Oregon Trail, answer your questions, and maybe even make a big announcement!

We also wanted to say that there is still going to be a Mega64 filming day coming up on Saturday, July 11th, that we could use some more men for! Our last filming got delayed until now, so if you couldn’t make it before, now’s your chance! If you’re a guy and want to be in Mega64, and are available like, all day on the 11th, drop me an email!

And here’s another reminder to buy tickets to our upcoming live screening event on July 23rd! Just to clarify- Once you buy a ticket online, just tell them your email address at the door, and we’ll know how many tickets you bought. We won’t be mailing anything to you or whatever. Just need your email. Easy, right?

Big thanks to everyone that came to visit us at our Anime Expo panel on Thursday! It is always a joy to entertain you guys in person. But is it me, or did they start letting people in for the Gurren Lagann movie once we started doing Q&A? That was weird. Did our thorough answers and hypersexuality win any giant-robot fans over, though? That is the real mystery.

Remember that big announcement we mentioned before? Today, we are pleased to announce that the folks at Gametap have hired us at Mega64 to create their new TV commercial campaign. We made a handful of short, random bits promoting their site, and hopefully maintaining the level of comedic quality you have come to expect from Mega64 (which is to say, not much).

Our ads will be airing first on Adult Swim, beginning next week. Next time your favorite show goes to a commercial break, you better stay seated and keep your eyes peeled for some Mega64 goodness!

As many of you let me know on Monday around 3AM, the commercials we made for Gametap have finally started airing on Adult Swim! You can watch your favorite shows on the channel, and there’s decent odds you’ll see our smiling faces during the commercial break. But if you can’t wait to see the ads, we uploaded a couple of them here today!

I also wanted to give another quick Comic Con update- I will be a guest on the “Beyond the Gaming Medium” panel at the con, on Friday, July 24th at 3:30PM in Room 30AB. I’ll be there with a handful of other guests, talking working in the video game culture scene… thing. In any case, it should be an interesting chance to maybe hear about the “job” side of Mega64, instead of zany stuff our own panels are normally made of. Or maybe I’ll bore everyone to tears. Sorry it took so long to post this- Things have been pretty nuts here in preparation for Comic Con! But we WILL be going live tonight on Ustream at 7PM pacific, so join in and check it out!

So we are off to Comic Con in just a few short moments. This will be a big show for us as usual, so here’s one last news roundup before we vanish into the comic realm forever (or, for the week)!

-Our theater screening is still happening on Thursday, July 23rd in La Jolla! Online ticket sales are now closed, so if you still want tickets, come get one at our Comic Con booth, or (hopefully) at the door that night. Get on either of those things as soon as you can, too- The online ticket sales were huge this year and we could be looking at a sellout.

-At Comic Con we will not only be selling all our usual merchandise, but you will also have the first shot at buying our new shirt that Derrick designed. It’s quite explosive! We will also have CON EXCLUSIVE “ELITE” BLACK SEXY64 SHIRTS to sell to those who can first claim them! Only THE sexiest gamists will be allowed to purchase these wares. We’ll have new posters too, and… Gosh, so much new merch! Come buy this stuff, you nut!

-We are making a limited run of 20 Special Edition Con Exclusive Posters that we are, once again, only giving to people who come ask about our super-difficult Mega64 trivia challenge. Are you brave enough to face this challenge for a super-rare sick poster, bro?
