The Mega64: Version 3 DVD is looming closer and closer to release on Memorial Day weekend! As such, another promo was necessary. Soak it in as you will.

With the DVD factories working overtime to get Version 3 pristine and perfect, we thought it was about time to let you know what was actually on it!

In response to the hellacious wait for this third volume, we have jam-packed this 2 Disc set far beyond any of our previous outings. The extras are overflowing… and have spilled into this very update! The final list of DVD contents are:

• The full third season of Mega64- Six full length episodes continuing the Mega64 story with tons of skits, stories, and surprises!
• Audio commentary on each episode with the Mega64 crew!
• “Cats Are Children (Who Live On The Floor) – The Mega64 Story Part 3.” The full behind the scenes documentary on the long and arduous creation of Version 3!
• The Raw Footy Archives: Six separate documentaries for each episode, comprised of uncut, raw, untouched behind-the-scenes footage!
• An additional secret documentary!
• Deleted scenes!
• Version 3 Original Teaser!
• Version 3 2010 Trailer!
• Some secret surprises as usual!

Now does that sound like a DVD set or what? Don’t forget- It’ll be available May 28th right here on this site!

A lot of people have been asking, “Rocco, why not Version 3 on BluRay?” The answer is that it’s still not impossible to happen someday- But it just didn’t make a ton of sense right now, when Blurays are still expensive to make, and not every episode of Version 3 is in HD (The first two episodes aren’t. Please watch past the first two episodes). So, stay hopeful… but not for anytime soon, you geeks!!

Speaking of geeks, we’re so not doing a live podcast this weekend because of the Lost finale. It’s nothing personal… we just like Matthew Fox more than you. A little bit.

In an effort to remember how far we’ve come, Mega64 has returned to making “Splinter Cell” short films. And there’s no better time than today, on the momentous release of the new “Insurgence” DLC, to release this new video. There’s espionage, action, and, like, a totally messed up girlfriend (WTF). Brace yourself and watch.

Of course, there’s another momentous occasion coming tomorrow. We hope you return for it.

Version 3 has been on sale for barely over 12 hours, and they might be completely sold out. This has never happened to us before, so we’re going to ask for your patience- Due to increased demand, please allow some extra time for V3 to get to you. We hope it is worth the wait!
