Welcome to a wonderful new year! We’re back from our break and feeling refreshed- it couldn’t be better. There’s some pretty awesome stuff coming from Mega64 in 2012 and we’re totally ready to get to work on it.

We thought we’d kick the new year off with a treat for some of the hardcore fans. Many of you remember that we sold some rare variant “Poque’s room” hoodies during Black Friday 2011. These sold out within the day- even before many people had even woken up! Well, we have a small consolation to offer in the new year- Starting later tonight, we will be trickling out some discovered leftover Variant hoodies, in limited amounts, day by day. A different size on each day! We want you, though, that there REALLY are not that many to go around, so you’ll want to be on it fast. To make matters worse- Size Medium variant hoodies won’t be coming back at all (We sold so many of them on Black Friday that our manufacturer couldn’t even keep up!). But hey, you hipsters- These hoodies run a little small anyway. Buy a Large.

Anyway, we’ll start later tonight by putting up some size Small hoodies. Keep an eye out because they will probably go fast. The regular System hoodies will also be coming back in full stock too!

Some sizes of our Soviet shirts are now sold out as well. These sold great, but we heard about a lot of you guys not getting them in time for Christmas either. This is a real bummer to us. These took a little longer to ship than the other stuff in our store because of us being design perfectionists (The shirts we had at time of sale were not up to par, and we realized it too late). We got everything out right on time, though, only to hear that a lot of our packages got held by the post office for a variety of bizarre reasons. We took care of it, and I think most people still got everything on time, but still. We never want to make anyone unhappy and we apologize if anyone got hosed. Part of following Mega64 over the years is seeing us still learn not to screw up along the way, so we thank you for staying with us even if we stumble sometimes. It means the world to us that you continue to trust us in any way.

That being said, we want to give one last little shoutout to our boy “FruitSnax,” Garrett Hunter himself, for making it onto the front page of Kotaku earlier. His gun mod is awesome- He’s modified and created so many cool things over the years that it’s fantastic when he sees some spotlight for it! Watch his sick vid and come back later for the hoodies and such!

We have put up the few remaining Large variant System hoodies into our online store! There are a few more of these than we had with the Small sizes, so your odds of getting one should be a -little- bit better. We still recommend ordering fast though! Also, though we usually hate directing people to Twitter, our official one seems like it’s been a quick way of letting people know of the size statuses and such, so you may want to keep your eyes on that too.

Anyway, we’re happy to tell you that we’ll be having a live podcast tomorrow night at 7PM Pacific. We’re back from break and ready to chew the rag! Watch below or at Ustream!

Tread carefully, CES goers… lest you think your technology is safe, avast! The Wii U Conspiracy rises once more. In case you missed it back when we originally put it on Gametrailers.com, here’s your chance to check it out now. We’ve even uploaded a bonus clip of the very real annihilation of a perfectly good plasma TV. Tragic, isn’t it? We may have just caused an outbreak of sorrow on the CES show floor.

We also wanted to tell you briefly that our standard System Hoodies are back on sale in all sizes! It’s chilly out, so you’ll want to bundle up this instant. We’re officially done selling the variant versions (XXL’s sold out before we could even finish this post!), but the original design is so slick on its own, the world will surely keep on spinning!

Stick around for a second- a brand new Mega64 podcast is going up, and get this- we may have actually gotten around to filming a new intro for it. Maybe. Just a rumor, though.

Today for some video fun, we bring you our nearly-half-hour Q&A session from last summer’s PAX Prime panel in Seattle! PAX is always a great time and this was no exception- Especially when you have awesome guests like Burnie from Rooster Teeth in the audience! That’s Burnie, right? Oh well. Watch it here anyway.

We also wanted to drop a quick note here to say that our Version 2 and 3 DVDs have sold out. They just got decimated during the holidays, and the poor fellas never recovered. We’ll try to get them back soon. In the meantime, we’d also like to report that, randomly, our Gamedays shirts are on sale for only $8. Granted, all we have left in stock is XL and XXL, and you have to scroll down quite a bit to see them, but it’s still not a bad deal, right? Get one now if you haven’t already- I don’t think we plan on bringing those back

It may seem like a quiet time for Mega64 right now, but it’s only because bigger things are brewing in the background. We have some crazy announcements to come… but good things do take time.
