8/29/06: NEW VIDEOS ON THE WAY! NOW WATCH TOMMY TALLARICO CUSS

If you thought you knew CINEMA and FINE FILM, FORGET WHAT YOU KNOW.

Because on the way to Mega64.com is a couple new ads the crew has created for the upcoming PC game "Might And Magic: Dark Messiah." And to commemorate this timeless series, we have created what may be the most epic video series ever created: The "BACKYARD MESSIAHZ" saga. Watch what happens when a group of underground fighters get inspired by Might and Magic in their own backyard! And by "their own", we mean "their mom's."

Look for these videos in the next week or two, and prepare to have ALL HOPES AND EXPECTATIONS BLOWN AWAY FOREVER.

So what should we do to hold you guys over until the next batch of new vids? How about wacky outtakes!

So by now many of you have seen our Version 2 DVD, and saw our "Judgemental Night" skit featuring a totally bizarre multi-second cameo by Tommy Tallarico as "Harry Garry The Feral Child." Pretty kooky, eh? Well what we've got here for you is a rare outtake from that segment in which Tommy stopped the scene to speak his mind! We had no idea what was going on.

Watch the wacky outtake here!

Tommy was such a cool guy. We take back what we said about him in the G4 pitch video.

You can see some of our photos with Tommy, among other stuff, in our new Version 2 Behind the Scenes Photo Gallery! Beware, though, if you haven't seen the DVD there might be some spoilers in there!

We've also got the Horatio Screensaver Gallery! All the stunning photos of Horatio to make your own screensaver just like Dr. Poque's computer in Version 2.

And we finally got our E3 2006 and Anime Expo 2006 pictures developed! It's a friggin' photo overload here!

Well that's it for this update. As a matter of fact... this'll be the last update in this format. The site will look totally different next time you see it! It's gonna be all re-designed and slick, with some new videos to kick off the new digs. We'll also FINALLY be starting the long-awaited Mega64 Podcast! Bout time, eh?

You're gonna love the new stuff. See you next time!

8/9/06: RARE VERSION 2 CRAP ON EBAY! L@@K a++++

Ever wanted to own some rare Mega64 stuff straight from the show? The guys from Red Vs. Blue (pictured left) sure did,* so we had to give them something!

Bid on the headpiece to Shawn's costume from the Katamari Damacy skit!

Or bid on part of Rocco's Merchant costume from the Resident Evil 4 skit!

Or bid on MEGA64: THE NOVEL (???)

This weekend we're filming two new ads for a new video game that is sure to mystify you in very magical ways! We'll be back soon with more news on that, plus some other surprises! Later!

*never happened

Or check it out on YouTube here!

See you on the 20th!

7/9/06: SEE YA AT COMIC CON!

We did it, guys! Once again, after thinking we didn't have a Comic Con booth this year, we got one. Woohoo! We'll be at booth 5033. Come by and pick up a Version 2 DVD on the release date (July 20th!) and also pick a Comic Con 2006 Exclusive DVD! We'll be there waiting for ya.

We'll also have shirts, Version 2 posters, and a bunch of other crap, including the ULTRA-RARE COMIC CON 2006 EXCLUSIVE POSTER (Only TEN in existence). The only way to get one of those is to endure our pure Mega64 trivia onslaught. Come by the booth and ask to take the challenge, and maybe, just maybe, you'll earn one.

Click here for more info on Comic Con. And see you then!

7/4/06
WE CELEBRATE TODAY, OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY

Here it is folks! The cover of our new DVD coming July 20th has finally been released! Come on. Admit it. It's badass. Master artist David Mayzis did an incredible job. Here's some wallpaper of the new cover too.

I think it's also about time we announce what's actually on this DVD, right? This 2 Disc set is packed!

-Six brand new half hour episodes, continuing the Mega64 saga, and tons of new skits you've never even seen! (And some you have that are even longer now!)

-Commentary by the Mega64 crew on every episode!

-"Bullet Belt From Dracula- The Mega64 Story Part 2" - Behind the scenes of Mega64 Version 2!

-Deleted scenes: Moments just too awkward to make the cut!

-Skit intros from Electronic Gaming Monthly!

-Perhaps some surprises!

This DVD is so rad, seriously! Not to mention, even the damn soundtrack rocks. We've got Josh Jones doing the original score, and The Aquabats returning to bring the rockage. Oh, and there's a new band joining the roster this time around: Freezepop, anyone?

July 20th, guys. It's coming quick!

Now, you know by now that July 20th is also the first day of the San Diego Comic Con. That's no surprise. But did you know we're releasing a brand new Mega64 Comic Con 2006 Exclusive DVD that same day?! Seriously. Two new DVD releases on the same day. Needless to say, we've been pulling some all nighters 'round the Mega64 HQ.

Check out the videos on this sick disc!

-Mega64's Comic Con Christmas Special! (HUH??)

-Timbo! (COOL!!!)

-Katamari Damacy skit! (ALREADY SAW THAT BUT COOL!!!)

-Resident Evil 4 skit! (OKAY SO THESE TWO ARE JUST FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE SHOW BEFORE BUT STILL COOL!!!)

-Both of Mega64's lost FAR CRY videos! (WHOA!!!!!!!!!!)

-Mega64 Version 2 Real Trailer (SICK!!!!)

-Mega64 Version 2 Fake Trailer (DOPE!!!)

-Maybe something else! (I DON'T WHAT WHAT THAT MEANS!!!)

The DVD is gonna be super cheap too. You gotta stop by our booth at Comic Con and pick both DVDs up. Only here's the thing- We might not even have a booth. The folks at Comic Con have been super vague with us, even now that we're this close to the show starting. So we don't know what's gonna happen yet. We're gonna try to get the Comic Con DVD in our online store if there's any left over as well. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know anything!

We want to end this epic update on the best note possible. Everyone knows that Mega64 is all about quality. We don't release anything unless it is absolutely flawless. A few days ago we did a panel at Anime Expo (which turned out super killer, thanks to all that came!), and we debuted an absolutely stunning music video we think you need to see. Once again we were disqualified from the AMV contest, which is an absolute joke. They didn't even send us equipment to capture anime footage for the video, so the video isn't as good as it could be. But I think we all still know who the real winner is. Click here to enjoy this timeless musical epic that we have created for the true Japanimation fans.

Happy Fourth, everybody!

6/29/06: MEGA64'S EPIC "TIMBO" AD FINALLY RELEASED!

Tired of waiting for GameVideos.com to release Mega64's "Timbo" video? So were we!

Check it out here, and prepare to be touched.

We'll be back here on the 4th of July, where we'll debut the Version 2 DVD cover! The cover art is so rad that Independence Day is the only day where the country will be strong enough to handle it. See you then!

6/23/06: MEGA64 AT ANIME EXPO

Okay, here's the deal, dudes. We're gonna be at Anime Expo in Anaheim on Saturday, July 1st, at 7PM, in room LP1. This is going to honestly be the best panel you could ever hope to attend. We've heard some rumors that there's a music video contest going on at the same time or something, but trust me, that thing's gonna be crap compared to what we're showing. We've got our own amine music videos that are sure to blow the doors off whatever you made about Narturo or One Peace. Plus, we'll be showing brand new, never before seen skits from our upcoming Version 2 DVD (Out on July 20th!). Plus, we may even have a bunch of free stuff and special guests. You just have to go to this thing and see what happens. Click here for more info on Anime Expo.

We'll be back soon with new videos. Until then, someone tell GameVideos.com to release our "Timbo" video already.

6/11/06: NEW RESIDENT EVIL 4 SKIT, STRANGER!

Did you see us on SpikeTV last night? No? Well you're in luck, we taped it for you.

Check out the new Resident Evil 4 skit here!

Check out clips from us on SpikeTV's "Gamehead" too!

6/6/06: MEGA64 ON SPIKETV? MTV? SONY.CO.JP?

Hey, man! The Mega64 guys totally just sold out! They're gonna be on SpikeTV's "GameHead" with Geoff Keighley this Saturday, June 10th, at midnight! And they're gonna premiere their new "Resident Evil 4" skit. How lame! I wish Mega64 just went back to making dumb videos that no one watched instead of dumb videos everyone on basic cable watched. Pfft!

Watch this preview clip of the show! It's in Quicktime... typical.

Wait, MTV did a story on them too? Man, screw Mega64!

So yeah, the RE4 video will go up on the site the day after it premieres on Spike. Since the Version 2 DVD comes out on July 20th, we were thinking maybe it would be the last skit we'd release onlne before the DVD is released. Lots of people asked if we'd release the "Ico" skit we showed at Game Developers Conference, but no, we decided to save that gem for the DVD.

But then, in an absolutely insane turn of events, Rocco actually got an email from the team behind "Ico" and "Shadow of the Colossus," asking if they could use the Ico skit for the upcoming Japanese re-release of Shadow of the Colossus! So you better believe we said yes! We're not sure when this is all gonna go down, but you'll hear about it all here on Mega64.com!

More soon!

VERSION 2 DVD RELEASE DATE! E3 2006 DVD! NO VHS!

Let's get right to the good news: The long-awaited (by us, at least!) Mega64: Version 2 DVD finally has a release date! That date (as has been so ominously stated on the Mega64.com front page) is JULY 20TH! Right smack in the middle of summer- you just can't beat that. No you may be asking: "Don't DVDs normally get released on a Tuesday?" Good observation! Now observe this- July 20th is the first day of the San Diego Comic Con. So if you happen to be in the Mega64 crew's hometown of San Diego on that day, you'll have a place to pick up the DVD the second it's released! Rocco, Derrick, and Shawn (and perhaps others) will also be there to sign copies and shout a hearty "Congratulations!"

Not to worry if you can't make it to San Diego- You'll be able to buy it online as soon as July 20th strikes! And it'll ship way fast! And then you'll watch it and be all like "WHOAA!" It'll be sweet.

That's all pretty cool, right? Well, now onto something happening much sooner:

MEGA64 AT E3 2006! They'll be there at the Ubisoft booth on Thursday, May 11 at 11AM (We're starting a little earlier this year because we went way overtime last time)! We'll be giving out and signing our brand new E3 2006 DVD for absolutely free! What's on this year's DVD, you ask? Here's the list, dude:

-Brand new Mega64 video: "A3!"

-Another brand new Mega64 video: "Three E's Are Me!"

-All three videos for 187: Ride or Die!

-The "Myst Is Life" video!

-All three "Prince of Persia" videos!

-Both "Ghost Recon" videos from Xbox Live!

-Mega64: Version 2 Real Trailer!

...And perhaps a surprise or two! Look at all that stuff, man... how can you turn that down for FREE? We better see you at the Ubisoft booth on Thursday, punk!

Keep smilin'! We'll have more new videos on the site very soon- Next week, we'll release our two new E3 videos ("A3" and "Three E's Are Me") online! And we here that our new video for the guys at GameVideos.com, "TIMBO," will finally be officially released soon. That's pretty exciting, isn't it? Alright, don't patronize us. Just meet us here next week. Peace out.

HAHAHA HAPPY EASTER

GDC AFTERMATH! NEW GHOST RECON VIDS ON XBOX 360! TWO KIDS IN YELLOW SHIRTS WITH A MICROPHONE!

GAME DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE WAS KILLER!!

We want to thank everyone that we met there. The show could not have gone any better. Well, alright, yeah it could have. We made an intro for the awards show, but for some reason, they cut the beginning off completely. The video made no sense, which sucks, because it probably would have gotten a funny/angered reaction from the audience. But that's okay, because you can see the video in its entirety here.

All was redeemed, however, when we showed our new Ico skit. It went over great! So well, in fact, that when the creators of Ico went onstage to accept their award for Shadow of the Colossus... THEY TOTALLY THANKED US!

And as if that weren't rad enough... The next day, Keita Takahashi, creator of Katamari Damacy, showed our KD skit in his game design presentation! SUPER KILLER!!

What, you think we're liars? Read these articles! They speak the truth!

Want to see Mega64's Ico video? Well then... check out the Version 2 DVD, coming soon!

It was a total honor! Thanks again everyone!

Hmm... is it just me, or could this update use just a hint of extra radness? Yeah. Yeah it could.

Mega64 has two brand new videos for Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter on Xbox Live! They ask the burning question... What would you do if you had a Crosscom? If you've got an Xbox 360 (And who doesn't? They're everywhere!), you can download these sweet clips in glorious HD 5.1 surround sound. Never thought you'd hear that about a Mega64 video, did you?

Now, get ready to be confused:

-The first Mega64 GRAW video is on Xbox Live Marketplace as "GRAW Crosscom Trailer 1."

-The 2nd one is listed as "GRAW Mega64 Crosscom Trailer 2." This one contains cameos by the stunt nuts at No Mercy Video and the animation work of Shmorky.

-And then there's "GRAW Crosscom Trailer 3." But that has nothing to do with us. We didn't make it, some Hollywood bigshots did. But definitely download this one- It's much funnier than anything Mega64 has ever done, and should definitely air on prime time television.

Don't have an Xbox 360? Well, then you won't see them in razzle-dazzle HD... but you can watch them in lower quality at the official Ghost Recon site!

So whaddya think? Still haven't had enough Mega64 media? Cripes, man, get a real hobby! Or just check out these radio interviews with Rocco of Mega64!

Spike and Raychul Podcast (Warning: This podcast gets DANGEROUSLY SEXY!)

Gamertag Radio (Warning: This podcast gets DANGEROUSLY SILLY(FAKE)!)

And while we still have room, we thought we should tell you about an ad we just made for GameVideos.com, the new site by the guys that brought you 1up.com and Electronic Gaming Monthly. It's a video called "TIMBO," and is one of our favorite videos we've ever made. Or it's at least the stupidest. Anyway, keep an eye on GameVideos.com, it should feature this video whenever it goes up, which should be soon.

We've got to get back to work on Version 2... see you soon with more insane news!

2/24/06
NEW MEGA64 "VERSION 2" TRAILER? BILL GATES JOINS MEGA64 CREW? MEGA64 AT GDC? STOP!! STOP THIS

If you looked up "doozy" in the dictionary, there'd be a screenshot of this site update next to it. And also a picture of that fat guy that got surgery to look like a cat.

We've just added two trailers for our upcoming "Mega64: Version 2" DVD. There's a fake trailer, which has nothing to do with the DVD, but everything to do with "holdin' it down." Then there's the real trailer, that has very much to do with the new DVD and is VERY serious business. Which one will you download, and what does it say about your personality?

The new trailers are so rad, we could realistically end our careers right here proudly. And we did think about it.... until Shawn got a mysterious call from Microsoft bigshot Bill Gates! He said to us "Guys... don't give up... let's do this Mega64 thing." So of course we agreed! And now there are MEGA64 VIDEOS COMING TO XBOX 360!!

Coming in the next couple weeks, you'll find two brand new Mega64 videos on the Xbox Live Marketplace, which anyone that has an Xbox 360 can download on their system and watch for totally free! These videos are promoting the rad new Xbox 360 game "Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter," and were actually shot in HD, the first time Mega64's ever done that! You can finally see every bead of sweat on Rocco's eyebrow in glorious High Definition, and hear every angry librarian in glorious 5.1 audio. Pretty high-tech, eh?

If you don't have an Xbox 360, don't fret- the video's gonna be on the internet shortly after release, as well as featured in the Xbox 360 store kiosks, so you can watch it next time you're buying paper plates at Wal Mart.

We'll keep you posted on when exactly these videos surface.

Think that's a big announcement? Pfft! Did you know that the Mega64 crew is going to be at the Game Developer's Conference? They are! During the Game Developer's Choice Awards, March 22, they'll be introducing brand new Mega64 skits and segments from "Version 2" between the awards. This is a big deal for the crew! We know most people reading this won't be able to get in this event for game developers, but hopefully the magic of Mega64 will give you incentive to sneak in or something!

You may be wondering how we landed such a sweet gig at GDC. Apparently, we were recommended by none other than video game composer and TV personality Tommy Tallarico. Which made us feel completely horrible for our G4 pitch video intro.

In any case, this event will be covered online, and we'll be sure to fill you in on all the details. Check their site for more info.

WE JUST RAN OUT OF ROOM FOR MORE NEWS

Also, a couple quick notes:

-The Mega64 Panel at Anime Los Angeles has been moved to 11AM. Same day, Saturday, January 28th, in LPII. But the rumor is there may be a surprise shown at 7:30PM in the viewing room... hmm...

-Rocco has changed his Xbox Live gamertag to Dr Poque. That's right, now you can play him online while he's under a different name! That's like making all your old games brand new again!!

We'll be back next week with more news and ANOTHER NEW VIDEO!

FINAL PRINCE OF PERSIA COMMER- OH CRAP ANIME!!!!!!!!

Happy new year! And what better way to begin 2006 than with personal discovery? Our third and final ad for Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones should help with just that- It's called "What Kind of Prince Are You?" and it's just been released on iFilm. Check it out.

The video's pretty good, but a lot of stuff was edited out. One scene had a guy's head being put in an oven! It was totally slammin'! But the Ubisoft guys in France thought it was suggesting cannibalism- Which is silly, because any Mega64 fan knows that cannibalism is straight wack! Anyway, the director's cut of this video was way funnier, so if you think this new video sucks, don't yell at us. Yell at France.

On a related note, if iFilm doesn't work for you, you can download our Persia ads directly on the official Prince of Persia website.

If you're still reading, you obviously love Mega64. In fact, you can't get enough of it. I know it.That's why this next news item is so important- You could meet the Mega64 crew, see new clips from their upcoming "Version 2" DVD, and witness their crazy live show. How, you ask, and where?

It's all part of the Mega64 panel to be held at... an anime convention. Yes folks, we were asked to appear at an anime convention. Crazy, eh? Maybe they made a mistake and thought we were characters from the hit show Dragonball Z? Well, I guess you can start calling me "Super Saiyan Goku"... BECAUSE WE SAID WE'D TOTALLY DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll be at Anime Los Angeles on Saturday, January 28th at 3PM. You seriously can't miss this. Not only will the whole crew be there, but we'll be showing a brand new episode of Mega64, and some other random skits and junk! And we'll probably have some free stuff too! Why would you miss this, seriously? I mean, it's not like you're gonna miss the Robotech panel- We're on AFTER that.

Check out the Anime Los Angeles website for more info on the event!

And now for some other Mega64.com nuggets that didn't fit anywhere else!

-T-shirts are pretty much ALL gone! You guys bought up a storm! We'll have some rad new shirt designs coming soon though, you're gonna love it.

-We have a couple new bios up! That sure is rad!

-"Myst Is Life" in H264/Video iPod format? That sure is random!

-Mega64 coming to your Xbox 360? That sure is mysterious!

-Our next update will (hopefully) contain the long awaited Mega64 episode guide. Finally, you clueless folk can know what skit is in what season and junk! You just might also see a rad new video... who knows? Maybe this guy on the right (ROFL)

Thanks for an amazing 2005, and we'll see you again real soon.

11/26/05
BLACK FRIDAY SPECIAL! TWO NEW VIDEOS FOR PRINCE OF PERSIA!

Just this week, the Mega64 crew finished up on two new videos for the classic videogame series "Prince of Persia." Rocco was so excited about their premiere that he raced down to the local Wal Mart to use their revolutionary computer system to tell the world. Unfortunately, since he was so busy with these videos, he had forgotten that it was the day after Thanksgiving, and was quickly trampled by a crowd. After having his jaw dislocated by a thrown laptop, he regained his strength and turned to Plan B: Summon the help of the folks at iFilm.

iFilm has put up our first two Prince of Persia videos early, even before they hit the game's official site! Check them out, friend!

But which Prince of Persia video is right for you? Video #1, "Rewind Time," is more about on the street pranks and humor and straight up joshin'! Whereas video #2, "The Sands of Frustration," is all about cinematography and acting performances. These are two different ballgames here, folks. We decided to go to the princeofpersiagame.com message boards for some feedback on this matter:

"Somebody is gettin sued for making me see this piece of **** and waste 20 secs. of my time.
Now I wish I could rewind the watching and un-do the whole thing "

"And about the no. 64, maybe it comes from the year 1964... the movie looks like it has been filmed in '64. It's like one of those old movies where the speacial effects suck :("

The answer is clear: Don't watch either!

We'll have one more Prince of Persia video coming later (gloriously photographed on the right) called "What Kind of Prince Are You?" so stay tuned. We'll release it when the time is right. See, Mega64 is all about timing. For example, it's time to have the E3 1975 video in PSP format. Didn't see that coming, did you? Neither did Ubisoft France, so let's hope they don't sue us.

Last but not least, Rocco got an Xbox 360 this week. Since an employee at the Wal Mart he waited at took the console that was under his name (Thanks, faithful employee Stephen Cheek!) he was forced to spend a night behind a Costco to get this sacred item! But now he's refreshed and ready to play Perfect Dark Zero with you. His gamertag is Coffin Feeder. Give him a shout out before you sell your console for $11,000.

Also, someone get Michelle Rodriguez off of Lost. Her fart-smelling facial expressions are ruining the show.

We'll be back soon!

10/21/05
NEW MYST VIDEO

Check out our new video for the fifth and final game in the beloved Myst series, "Myst V: End of Ages." The video is called "Myst Is Life" and is high quality cinema excellence! Let's see Martin Scorchessy or Quintin Tarantano get a bum to tell them they're "sick" on camera!

Watch the video on iFilm today!

We've also reorganized our media section a bit, linking to all our past ads and other weird stuff! Relive them here!

We'll be back with more new video later this week! You're gonna love 'em! Ohhh man, just you wait! ahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HURRICANE KATRINA HATES MEGA64

Quick update for those wondering where the site went this past week (And for those who just discovered us from Nintendo Power and wondered why we didn't have a website!):

The servers that host Mega64.com are located in New Orleans, so of course, the recent hurricane knocked them out of commission. It does, however, look like we're back in business for now, so hooray! But if anything else bad should happen, you'll know why.

The message boards, though, still aren't up. We're working on it, and getting new software and stuff to make sure this one's even better than the last. You're gonna love it!

We'll be back soon with a ton of cool stuff- More Mega64 DVDs in stock, and some new ads we've made for Ubisoft coming down the pipeline... including the ad we made for 187 Ride or Die... which they may or may not ever show. Hm.

We leave you now with two images: One is a cryptic behind the scenes image from filming of the "Mega64: Version 2" DVD, and one is not. Can you tell which is which?

8/31/05
CRIPES WHAT A WEEK

This past week has arguably been the most hectic in Mega64 history! Not only have we been filming some ultra-crazy action sequences for the upcoming Version 2 DVD (Some days of filming went 17 hours!), but we've also been editing some ads for Ubisoft, and dealing with a lot of technical stuff too! It's a lot to handle... should we keep going? I say, why not?

Here's some current Mega64 events:

-You may have noticed that the Mega64: Version 1 DVD is sold out. Not to worry! They're being re-printed and we should have thousands more in-stock any day now. Also, from now on they will be sold from our new online ordering system, with faster shipping to ensure you get them way quicker! Cool, eh?

-We have created an ad for Ubisoft's new game "187: Ride or Die." That is, we created it a while ago. But the game's already been released and they still haven't released the ad. Maybe they didn't like it? Or maybe they thought the public simply couldn't handle our gruesome rendition of life on the streets? In any case, keep an eye out- We predict it could be premiered this week.

Also keep an eye out for this month's new issue of Nintendo Power with that Harry Potter kid on the cover. There's apparently a rad article on Mega64 in it! We're told Nintendo absolutely loves our DVD, contrary to the countless "NINTANDO IS GIONG TO SUE U" emails we get per day! We haven't seen the article yet ourselves, but we hear it's good. And from the magazine that brought us Mark Discordia, how could it not be?

Our Paperboy video also got another bit of amusing press a few weeks ago on the videoblog site Rocketboom. Maybe it's the oddest plug Mega64 has ever received... or maybe Rocco's just got an enormous crush on Amanda Congdon.

PLAY WITH FIRE

And as you also may have noticed, our message boards are down. Some mean and nasty people on this internet decided it would be fun to try to hack them. They were kind of in rough shape anyway, so we decided to update them a bit. They'll be mostly the same, but a lot more safe, stable, and fun! Our friend will be helping us make the coolest forums ever... but he'll be busy for a while, so come back later!

To hold you over, here's the Paperboy video in PSP format. We're thinking about putting all new videos from now on in PSP format. What would you think about that? Would you love it? Would you MARRY IT? Oh man, you guys are sick cats!!!!!!!!

Until later, dudes!

8/11/05
MAN THIS IS CRAZY LOOK AT ALL THIS

Guys, can you believe this? The Paperboy video we just put up has really taken off! It's become the most popular clip we've put up, and is receiving a MEDIA BLITZ!!

-G4 praised the clip on "Attack of the Show" (Watch the segment here.) They were extrordinarily kind to us considering A) We thought we were pretty clear that they totally hated us and B) We kinda made fun of Seanbaby in our E3 1975 video.

-VH1 plugged us on their Best Week Ever site, and some guy on there mistook us for a child molestor. ALRIGHT!

-Nintendo Power interviewed us!

-A bunch of people emailed us saying they loved it!

-A bunch of people emailed us saying we should have filmed it during the daytime and on a bike and with no grim reapers on Monday because in the game they didn't show up on Monday and the breakdancer should have stayed on the sidewalk because that's what he does in the game and we are all a bunch of hefty man-lovers!

In any case, thanks for checking out the video! And be sure to email it to all your friends!

And as you may have already noticed, Rocco wrote an article about this year's Comic Con experience for SomethingAwful.com. If you haven't already, give it a read, take in the story, savor the storytelling, and enjoy the picture captions that someone else wrote to make him look bad.

We were just about to close the book on Comic Con when we realized, hey, we still have Comic Con 2005 Exclusive Mega64 posters! Remember- Only TEN were printed, and only three people at the convention actually got one. So we're auctioning off three more of them in what we call our "Who Do You Love More?" Auction! Should you...

-Bid on the poster signed by Rocco Botte

-Bid on the poster signed by Derrick Acosta

-Or bid on the poster signed by Shawn Chatfield ?

The choice is yours alone, but know that each one is rare as can be, and even comes with a bonus poster, as well as the love of whoever you bid on. Bid today!

The last portion of this update is very technical, so we'll need to ask you to step in our friend's office here and have a seat. Comfy? Good.

-We're technically "sold out" of the first Mega64 DVD. However, it just so happens that Rocco has a box of them still just sitting in his own room. So we're selling those off in the merch section. You may want to order soon, as we have no idea when we'll get the next pressing of DVDs!

-We're technically working on trying to get a Mega64 Podcast going. We've had some good help, but more's always better! If anyone out there is knowledgable about podcasting, drop us a line! It would help, because...

-...We're technically challenged! Ha ha! See, this is what we're about. We're about improv.

Until next time!

VICTORY. MEGA64 RETURNS TO SAN DIEGO COMIC CON!!

This June, Rocco of Mega64, after strenuous work on the upcoming "Mega64: Version 2" DVD, decided to take a vacation amidst the oasis known as Las Vegas. While listening to the accordion music Las Vegas is famous for, Rocco thought... "Such a relaxing place. Why shouldn't I just stay here?" When suddenly, it hit him like a box of lawn darts: "No!! NO!! The San Diego Comic Con is July 14th through the 17th! I must return home!" And that's precisely what he did, with more fire in his soul than ever. Derrick and Shawn chimed in with a hearty "LET'S DO THIS," and the trio will be at the convention every day to meet and greet their fans and friends! The Mega64 booth is #4605, and will surely be the best of the entire convention! Not only will we be premiering brand new Mega64 videos and clips from the new season, but we'll also be signing and offering an EXCLUSIVE MEGA64 COMIC CON DVD! This holy disc will contain:

-The infamous "Luigi's Mansion" skit!
-"California Games" skit!
-"The Top Ten Comic Con Moments of All Time!" Rocco, Derrick, and Shawn count down the most memorable moments of last year's Comic Con in this unforgettable special! What could be #1?
-Mega64: Version 2 Trailer!
-Maybe a cool surprise! Or a lame one!

All of that on an autographed DVD for only a few bucks! Or win one, among many other prizes, by spinning our world famous Wheel of Mystery!

And just in case your merchandise hunger is not yet sated, we'll be selling plenty of other stuff from our merch department, as well as our brand new Tetris-style shirts for the first time ever! With help from Gameskins, these are by far the best shirts ever printed. And they're intended for you guys, the best fans ever created! Could this be coincidence?

NAY, THINE THINKETH

We've even got a few ads for some new games coming up! And you know, as usual, there'll be even more surprises around the corner... And much bigger updates than you've ever imagined! Our friend at Wal Mart is ready for the challenge.

E3 CONQUERED! NEW VIDEOS! AMERICA SINGS!

The Mega64 appearance at E3 was an insane turn of events! Rushed into the halls of E3, even without badges or anything, we were immediately mesmerized by the flashing lasers and the unnecessarily loud Prodigy CD. Before the shock to our brains had even dissipated, we were alarmed to see a line for the booth as long as they eye could see! The turnout was simply overwhelming! So overwhelming, in fact, that we stayed more than an hour over our alotted time and still couldn't get a signed DVD to everyone. To help ease the pain for those who couldn't get in, we bring you these gifts:

- Photos and videos of the event from Ubisoft's press site, including our E3 1975 video!

-The Mega64: Version 2 DVD Teaser Trailer! A look back at moments from our first season, and the first glimpse of things to come in the second!

E3 was an amazing event, and we have only you guys to thank. We had no idea so many people visit this site, nor did we know we would be visited by celebrities in the gaming world such as HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN and MASTER CHIEF from HALO (Pictured left). We also got to play a ton of rad games, the best being "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess," and the worst being "The Legend of Zelda: Dance Dance Striker Pinball."

Enjoy the new clips, and be sure to also check out our merch section, where we've just added stylish new Mega64 hats! With summer on the way, you'd be a fool not to wear one! Due to bass and laser overload, the Mega64 crew once again turned merch site design over to our friend at the Wal Mart San Diego superstore, who was able to use extra processing power leftover from the rarely used paint department computer. How do you think he did?

And if your money's STILL burning a hole in your pocket, bid on this Mega64 prop, the actual syrup bottle used in the Super Dodgeball skit on the Mega64: Version 1 DVD! All proceeds will go to... more condiments for our next season. And you like condiments, don't you, kids?

We'll be back soon with more rad Mega64 stuff!

MEGA64 STORMS E3, LEAVES ROCCO IN NEAR DEATH

Drama and suspense has swept the city of Los Angeles! E3, the world's largest videogame expo, was almost cancelled this year due to lack of "spirit." It was not until Team Mega64 stepped in and said, "We'll take care of this," that the show was announced to resume! So you will now be able to meet Rocco Botte, Derrick Acosta, and Shawn Chatfield at the Ubisoft booth on May 18th at noon! And as if that were not enough, they will be showing amazing new videos: "E3 1975," a documentary on the very first E3 show, set in the golden age of videogames, 1975! And the WORLD PREMIERE of the VERY FIRST TEASER TRAILER for the MEGA64: VERSION 2 DVD!! It's the first glimpse of some of our upcoming episodes and skits... edited together by one of the members of the team that brought you trailers for Disney and Touchstone films! Film fans know what that means: DANG GOOD TRAILER!

BUT IT GETS EVEN BETTER, CAPTAIN SASSY PANTS (LOL)! We will also be signing and giving away FREE COPIES of an exclusive Mega64 E3 DVD! This stunning bit of shwag contains:

-All of Mega64's Splinter Cell Videos!
-The Cold Fear Trilogy!
-E3 1975 Documentary!
-Mega64: Version 2 Trailer!
-Perhaps a surprise
!

We know E3 isn't open to the public. And many of you haven't registered. But remember... in Los Angeles, it's okay to break in! Find out more about E3 at their official site.

The plan for Mega64 to visit E3 was so last minute, that there was almost no time to get a DVD together for the fans. Therefore, Rocco Botte was forced to stay up many hours to get the disc made and meet the deadline. In fact, he went almost 72 hours without sleep to get the job done. "I gave my all," Rocco said. "I couldn't rest until I knew we would have the best shwag of any booth at E3. As a member of the league of Americans sworn to never wake up before noon, I give my condolences. But I have no regrets. I gave my all." Rocco was later found passed out in the Staples office supply establishment.

We hope to meet you at E3. And if you cannot attend, fret not! We'll soon return with all new pictures and videos of the event, plus the first new footage of upcoming skits and episodes! That, and some other positively amazing announcements! You will not believe what the future holds. As Weezer says on their new album:

Let it go

The damage in your heart

Until next time!

TOO MANY NEW VIDEOS!! SKULL MELTING!!

Just when things were finally becoming quiet, the Mega64 team assembled a new series of ads for the upcoming videogames "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory" and "Cold Fear." The news was so catastrophically titanic that the current website administrators simply coulld not handle the burden! Fortunately, they were once again assisted by the nice young man who helped them update the site from a high-powered Wal Mart employee computer with Internet-2 access.

Thanks to their courageous efforts, you can now download two new Splinter Cell videos at their official site, as well as two new videos for Cold Fear on their own site. Espionage! Zombies! Prepare to be amazed- A couple of them even come off as somewhat professional! And remember, you'll find all four of these gems on the upcoming Splinter Cell Chaos: Special Edition, in stores March 30th!

We thank you for experiencing Mega64, and we invite you to journey with us...

...TO THE FUTURE

ONE DOOZY OF AN UPDATE LET ME TELL YOU

The beginning of the year 2005 brought trouble for the Mega64 team. Just as they were ready to put the finishing touches on a long-overdue site update, they realized that after all this time... they had forgotten how to update the site! Luckily, a nice young man at a nearby Wal Mart Superstore (RIGHT) was kind enough to help them through the process using an employee computer. To show our appreciation for him and the rest of humanity itself, we have added a plethora of new content to the site, including:

-The River City Ransom skit from Mega64's first season! A nostalgic fan favorite!
-New Media section, featuring an old lost Mega64 skit, a video snippet from a failed G4 pitch video, and the ENTIRE original soundtrack from Mega64: Version 1. In MP3 format! For free!

-New photos and wallpapers in the Gallery!

And in addition to this remarkable update, you'll find a brand new "Splinter Cell" skit by Mega64 over at splintercell.com! It's our 2nd video, "Co-Op," filled with tomfoolery, sporting goods, and senior citizens.

And on the subject of Splinter Cell lies our big announcement: The new title in the series, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory will be available in a Limited Collector's Edition (LEFT), with a bonus disc featuring a whole slew of new Mega64 videos! The game's available on Gamecube, Xbox, Playstation 2, and the PC, and contains some of the funniest, most bizarre skits yet. Both the regular version of the game, and the special edition, will be available everywhere March 30th. You may want to pre-order it soon, because deals like this just can't last forever. And also, if the game sells over a million copies, Mega64's Shawn will get to help cowrite Tom Clancy's upcoming techno-thriller based on the events behind Aaron Carter's defeat of basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal.

And did you know, traveler, that in the midst of all this, we are also hard at work on our show's second season? Dubbed "Mega64: Version 2," this new batch of episodes is slowly but surely turning into some of the best stuff that Mega64 has ever done. The first episode has already been premiered to folks in San Diego, to which people shouted cries of "Joy!" and "Rapture!" and "Wow, this doesn't look nearly as crappy as your last episodes!" You can expect more previews of this soul-shattering release sometime in the near future...

In the meantime, check out this rad article on Mega64 from the San Diego Citybeat. We'll have more articles, videos, and an episode guide for you on our next update... that is, if we can get some help (RIGHT).

SEASON'S GREETINGS & SPLINTER CELL

Just in time for the holidays, not only can you experience some festive Christmas greetings from the Mega64 gang, but you can also check out a trailer for our new series of videos for the upcoming videogame "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory." This new game tells the story of Sam Fisher of the Third Echelon, and his wacky stealth adventures. Ubisoft promises this title will be full of "bells and whistles," and who better to capture the essence of these games on film than the Mega64 posse? These new videos are coming to splintercell.com soon, so in the meantime, go to their site and check out our trailer of things to come!

Also, be sure to check out the Electronic Gaming Monthly January Issue this month to get a free DVD containing the final video in our "Lost Levels" series, "California Games," hosted by the strange and secretive Sean! Don't forget that this is the same magazine that put our Mega64: Version 1 DVD on their Top Ten Hottest Holiday Gift List... I'm just saying! This is one of EGM's best issues yet- Don't let the depressed Mexican on the cover fool you!

And as usual, there's many more surprises on the way... including shirts by Gameskins! And we all love shirts, don't we? We wish all of our viewers a very happy holiday season. Tell your relatives the same, and invite them to play the Mega64 Flash Game! Because frankly, nothing says "holiday" like machine combustion and Wayne's World quotes.
