Today’s video helping is our PAX East Panel Q&A from last April. We had some good questions during this one and thought it would be fun to post. Keep in mind, once again, that this is just the Q&A. You’ll have to attend one of our panels to see all the crazy video stuff (and whatever else) that we do. Also, don’t forget that we sometimes go out of order with posting these- I think we still have an EXPCon panel to post sometime too. We’ll keep you posted.
Now onto more serious issues: You may have heard on our podcast about an unfortunate event. We’re not the most genius web-experts (We only even recently began hosting the site ourselves- someone else did all that for us for a long time). We never really host big files on our site anymore, but something slipped through the cracks- Our friend (and now complete enemy, forever) HotDiggedyDemon used Garrett’s Slowdraw album in his animated magnum opus “MAGIC.MOV” and it led to about a trillion people downloading this entire album from our site over and over. This annihilated our bandwidth and left us with a pretty hefty bill.
Now, we’re not ones to be charity cases or anything, but if you were ever considering getting some Mega64 merchandise, now would be an awesome time to do it (according to us!). You’ll be helping us out, and to show our appreciation, all orders for the rest of the week will come with a very special secret prize: a signed certificate of appreciation (dictated word for word from our podcast).
They will be signed and ready for your order! Thank you so much for helping us in this incredible crisis! We have so many new shirts and stuff that hopefully it shouldn’t be too bad.
It’s time for our weekly podcast! This time we talk about the crisis that we at Mega64 went though this last week. We also cover, Coachella, The Aquabats Super Show, our Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword skit. So many things…Listen up here!
That’s all for now! Check out our new merch, then go have a nice day!
Sorry for no Mega64 live podcast recording last night! We got busy with a secret project and ran out of time. We’ll be taping a podcast on our own today and putting on the site and iTunes tomorrow. Stay tuned for that, and thanks for your patience!
First off, a big thank you to the Mega64 gentlemen for allowing me this great platform and Youtube account in which I can post the highlights in a more prominent fashion. I deeply appreciate being part of this awesome and supportive community, and will continue to contribute in anyway that I can.
Next up, the Live Podcast After Show 218, along with last week’s Live 4/20 Cast is available here.
Now without further ado, the Highlights! I’ve chosen a few personal favorites of mine and to view the rest you can go to the Mega64Podcast Youtube account, in which you’ll also find some Highlights from the 4/20 Cast too.
Hope all of you have a safe and fun weekend! Take care!
The other day on our podcast, we made a cool announcement- that a long time Mega64 fan and podcast-archival fanatic Royce was going to start a new weekly article here on Mega64.com called “Royce’s Choices.” Royce was already regularly posting our podcast and live-aftershow highlights to our forums. We thought the front page of our damn site was a way better spot than that. You’ll find the latest show highlights posted every Friday right here on the site- and you can also feel free to check out and subscribe to our new YouTube channel “mega64podcast,” where Royce will be hoarding all these wonderful little clips.
We think it’s so cool that our dumb work here has led us to meet people like Royce- A guy with a real sense of online community and total selflessness. Because of these attributes, tons of people have been entertained every week without fail. And now, hopefully even more people will be part of that. Thanks so much to Royce and all his hard work.
We also wanted to give a special thanks to another guy- our friend Curt (AKA “CurtDogg”). When we were in the process of working on our recent Zelda: Skyward Sword skit, we had an unfortunate tech error render all our captured game footage useless. Curt raced in at the last minute and offered to capture the game footage himself, and it couldn’t have turned out better. We may josh him for his sizable Fraggle Rock box set, but he legitimately bailed us out and we couldn’t be more grateful.
We feel really lucky to have the fans that we do sometimes. For every guy that leaves a “WTF THIS ISNAT VIDGAEMS IRL” comment, there’s 1000 of you that continue to support us in little (or often big) ways. Your affinity for this weird stuff is not lost on us, and we hope you never once think that we’ve taken this for granted.
Come back Friday for the first round of Royce’s Choices!
